Outreach Program

MSDB's Outreach Program serves as a resource center providing information, consultation, technical assistance, and leadership to:

  1. parents of deaf and blind children from birth through age 21,
  2. public schools of Montana who have deaf and blind children enrolled, and
  3. organizations and individuals concerned with services to deaf and blind children.

MSDB works closely with service providers for deaf and blind children from birth through age three, and with the Office of Public Instruction in addressing the needs of these children. There is no charge to the school district, service provider or parents for any Outreach services. The Outreach consultants take on many roles. The consultants, in addition to other members of the educational team, plan appropriate academic programs for deaf and blind children wherever they may live.
